In a conversation about There Will Be Blood:

Kim: Don't you think it's crazy that there was that much oil?
Doug: Yeah, a whole lotta dinosaurs had to die for that.
Kim: What?
Doug: Um, oil is made out of dead dinosaurs.
Kim: What!
Doug: Doesn't oil come from dead dinosaurs?

I just went to Jewel. I stood in the check-out line for about 2 minutes while the cashier looked back and forth between what I was purchasing and a chart before finally asking "What is that?"

It was an artichoke.
