push the envelope

To qualify for this Illinois tax production credit (otherwise known as the bane of my existence) we have to demonstrate education outreach. As a result, I have become the new “Internship Coordinator” for my company. With no real intention of hiring anyone, we posted some ads and today my inbox was flooded by a bunch of idiots. Idiots I tell you!

Nice weather and a golfing boss do not make for an efficient day.

These have been the highlights of my productivity:

- Walked into the audio room to hear “Cue the music!” The lights dimmed, Loveshack started blasting and everyone started dancing like Carlton. I have since walked back there for no real reason other than to initiate this 11 times.

- Spent 10 minutes talking about palm reading. Spent 5 minutes googling palm reading in St. Charles. Spent 2 minutes being frustrated after realizing St. Charles is not a hotbed of psychic abilities. Spent 15 minutes researching free online palm readers. Spent 8 minutes experimenting with scanner settings to achieve the perfect Christine hand scan.

- Had wheely chair races down our hallway.

- Wrote this.

Two more hours. Tonight’s goal is extreme debauchery. Wolf in sheep’s clothing. Possible/most likely encounters: deerhunter and crystal castles at 1104 Wabash, fog machines, mag d’s event at crocodile, bikes, stolen sponsor whiskey, alex’s event at version, shanetron.
